The
New Mexico IceHoles were founded in 1996 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
In 2005 the NM IceHoles, in cooperation with the New Mexico Scorpions,
hosted the 6th Annual NM IceHoles - Albuquerque Media Charity Hockey
Game on 5 February 2005.
The 6th anniversary game was dedicated to the Rio Grande Chapter of
the Multiple Sclerosis Society in an effort to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis.
The entire objective of the club and foundation is to raise awareness
of public health issues in New Mexico and raise funds and support for
specific charities.
The New Mexico IceHoles were
pleased to welcome a number of new sponsors to the charity effort this
year. A list of sponsors can be viewed on our sponsors
page. The IceHoles encourage their fans to visit these
sponsors.
This year's event raised $1210 for the Rio
Grande Chapter of the MS Society. The funds raised will be used
to help sponsor and support the MS150 Bike Tour in August
2005.
