Charitable Foundation is a not-for-profit organization made up
of community conscious, concerned members of the central New

New Mexico IceHoles Charitable
Foundation Wins Grant Funding
RIO RANCHO, NM - 20 January 2006 - The New Mexico IceHoles
Charitable Foundation announces that it has been awarded a
grant from the First Community Bank of New Mexico. The
award recognizes the collaborative efforts between the NM
IceHoles Charitable Foundation, the Santa Fe Indian Hospital
and L&D Associates Consulting
Group in improving access to evidence-based literature
in rural American Indian communities.
Rural and frontier counties in America lack adequate
connection to the Internet and thus have limited access to
public health and biomedical information to maintain and
improve their health status. The project conducted by
the Santa Fe Indian Hospital and the L&D Associates has
provided public health nurses with the ability to search for
evidence-based literature at the point-of-care in rural settings.
